Delta-8 is suitable for a variety of uses. According to the
National Cancer Institute
, Delta-8 holds antiemetic (nausea relief), anxiolytic (anxiety relief), appetite-stimulating and neuroprotective properties
Delta-8 is one of the many potent cannabinoids derived from cannabis plants. Discovered in the early 1970s, Delta-8 has proven medicinal properties in several clinical tests.
Delta-8 is a double-bond isomer of Delta-9
but it differs in its chemical makeup and properties. This subtle variation makes a substantial difference in how Delta-8 affects the body.
Delta-8 and Delta-9 THC are chemically different due to the location of a critical chemical bond. Both cannabinoids contain double bonds in their molecular chains. Delta-8’s bond is on the 8th carbon chain, while Delta-9’s is on the 9th carbon chain – hence their names. Although it’s a slight difference, the effects are noticeably different when the compound binds to the body’s endocannabinoid receptors.
